Sister was my first grade teacher in 1953 at St. Stephens School in Port Carbon, Pa. Back in those days First grade was our first taste of school. She made a lasting impression. The prettiest nun I ever met. As a side note my sons first grade teacher was stationed with her (Sister Roberta) was also stationed at St. Stephens back in 1976. RIP Sister Mary --- you will never be forgotten ( I Promise)

Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart, IHM was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by the many adults and children whose lives she touched here at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish. My heartfelt sympathy to you. I know how much she loved you. She often spoke of the joy of spending time with her family. May God bless and comfort you.
