Herman "Butch" D. Rosenbaum of West Chester
Herman "Butch" D. Rosenbaum, 69 of West Chester, passed away peacefully in his garden on Monday, July 7, 2014.
Butch was the husband of Pamela McCarter Rosenbaum with whom he married on September 20, 1975.
Born in Bristol, TN, he was the son of the late Herman J. Rosenbaum and the late Hattie Simerly Rosenbaum.
Butch was raised in Kennett Square, and attended Kennett High School where he graduated in 1964. He then went on to attend Goldey Beacum College.
He truly cherished his job at Otto's BMW in West Chester.
His greatest joys and pleasures were his family and his devotion to his wife "Doll" and keeping her on her toes. He was extraordinarily loved by and proud of his daughter Dawn and her husband Josh, and his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Dawn Rosenbaum Mitchell and her husband Josiah Royce Mitchell; grandchildren Benjamin, Olivia, and Scarlett; siblings Kathryn Mahala of TN, Bruce Marita Rosenbaum of FL, and Herbert Rosenbaum of NC.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Mary Jane Sawyer, Lilian Maines, and John F. Rosenbaum.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Funeral Service, 10 am Friday, July 11, 2014 at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380; 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association 150 Monument Road, Suite 100 Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 and/or Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital 414 Paoli Pike Malvern, PA 19355.
