Ann Lukens Chaffe, 93, of Paoli, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at The Wayne Center in Wayne.
She was the wife of the late John C. Chaffe.
Born November 28, 1921 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Philip J. Lukens and the late Edith Dengler Lukens.
Ann was a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania with an English degree. She worked as a librarian for the Tredyffrin Public Library in Strafford.
Her interests included travel, playing the piano, knitting, embroidery and other handwork and she was a member of The Junior League, DAR and The Embroidery Guild of America.
She served as a docent for many years at Independence Hall in Philadelphia and taught French at The Plymouth Meeting Friends School.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Pamela Chaffe of Paoli, and Catharine Louise Chaffe of San Diego, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband John C. Chaffe of Paoli.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service on Friday, April 24th at 11:00 AM at St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 South Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087.
Interment will be held privately at St. Mark's Episcopal Church Cem. in Honey Brook.
