Richard P. Gallagher, Jr.

Richard P. Gallagher Jr., 42 of West Chester, PA died Friday August 21, 2015 at Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata.

 

He was the husband of Erin Nash.

 

Born July 2, 1973 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late Richard P. Gallagher Sr. and Lillie Miller Gallagher of Coatesville.

 

Rich had worked a self-employed landscaper and painter and enjoyed card magic. Rich enjoyed the outdoors, camping, landscaping, hunting for snakes, and hard rock music. We loved spending as much time as we could together.  

 

We always worried about each other and Rich could not get on with his day until he talked to me.  We spent hours talking with each other about each other's days.  Rich had a great sense of humor.  He loved teasing, laughing with people, and pulling practical jokes on others.  

 

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his children, Lexie Slider of Richland, NC, Matthew Beiler of Honey Brook, sisters, Tracy Barnes of Kinzers, PA, and Polly Hegarty of Coatesville.  Also survived by one grandchild, 16 nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation from 9:00 am - 11:00 am Friday August 28, 2015 at the Greater Emmanuel Temple, 296 Pemberton Rd Kennett Square, PA 19348

 

Funeral Service, 11:00 am Friday, August 28, 2015 at the church. Interment will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses.
