Gumba, I knew you my entire life. You were always a kind and respectful, hard working family man. One day in Glory, we will have a wonderful family reunion in Our Father's House. (John 14:1-6). Until then, Chow Fratello!

My life was blessed to have known such a unique and wonderful man. His big heart equaled his many and amazing accomplishments. He leaves such a rich legacy and will always be remembered. Goodbye, Sam, you have truly earned your reward.

Gumba Sam will be missed terribly by my dad, Joe. They got together every Friday night to eat, drink, talk and have a good time. My dad already misses his weekly visits to see Sam or run the roads with him getting what he needed. My son, Lane will miss him as well and the Friday night visits talking about baseball. Our condolences to the family. Sam, may you rest in peace and salute until we meet again.

What a nice man he always had time to talk and joke with you.He had hands of gold He was so talented he could make anything out of stone and concrete and he could repair anything and yet with his rough work worn callous hands he could do such fine paintings. So much talent in one man besides all his baseball talent and fame. God must have been so pleased that he used all those talents. You were so loved and Ed and I were blessed to call you friend. Rest in peace Sam you have earned it. and if you run into Michaelangelo tell him you could have painted that ceiling just as good and in less time.

Sam was a wonderful and talented man with a lot of interests. A great fastpitch pitcher, stone mason , artist and teacher of pitching a softball. He showed my daughter a thing or two about pitching up at Saint Agnes gym a few years ago. . . .Thanks Sam and enjoy yourself with all your brothers and sisters up in the Heavens above. And could you say Hello to my father Victor. . . . Thanks again !! ! ! ! ! victor bruno Jr.

God bless Sam. Sam was one of my dad, Pete Best friends. They were both hard working men and my dad admired Sam and his work ethic. We were lucky to have a Sam Riccardo fireplace in our home in Westtown. I remember watching Sam as he built it what a man! Sam is in our prayers, God Bless.

Sam... one of my dad's oldest and dearest friends - what a 'character'! From comedian to carpenter and everything in-between! A very talented, kind and generous man who always had a smile for you. He will be missed by so many. I am so sorry for his family and friends. He will not be forgotten.

What can I say about Uncle Sam. He was a Gentle Giant. A hard working man who took Pride in his Work, his Family, his Church & his Country. Called" Uncle Sam " affectionately by so Many People at St. Agnes, because he truly treated us like family. He was a Wonderful Man & Heaven now has another Expert Carpenter : ) We'll miss you Uncle Sam. Thank you fro ALL you did for ALL of us : )

Words do not express how much Mr. Riccardo was respected for the man that he was. I met "Sam" thru my Mother Kay Donnelly, when she worked for the A&P store in W.C. Sam shopped at Kmart where I work and always had something to tell me or show me...like pictures or the beautiful Crucifix that he gave me...it was blessed by the Pope. To know him was to know one of the nicest most generous people around. I will forever cherish the painting he gave me of St. Agnes Parish. It hangs in my home . Thank God for the pleasure of knowing someone so nice.
