Mildred “Millie” L. (Shaffer) Culp 81 of West Chester 1934-2016

Mildred “Millie” L. (Shaffer) Culp 81 of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24 at home with her devoted family by her side.

Millie was predeceased by her soulmate and husband, Elwood “Buster” Culp and her parents Eleanor (Koveleskie) and Leslie Shaffer of Sunbury, PA.

Born October 15, 1934 in Sunbury, PA Millie met her husband Buster at a young age.  It was love at first sight.  Once engaged, they were rarely apart. 

Millie was a retired registered nurse who trained at the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing.  She loved camping with her family, casting her line for trout at Pine Creek, and entertaining friends, family, and often perfect strangers with her quirky sense of humor. 

Millie will be profoundly missed by her sister Nyla (Richard) Lake, her children Leslie Culp, Elizabeth (Dane) Sitlinger, Kimberly (Thomas) Wait and Curtis (Sharon) Culp, her greatest joy, her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Dawn Iovanisci and loving nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of her life will be celebrated privately
