Lewis Pearce Amos, 89, passed away at home on Wednesday January 11, 2017 under the care of Willow Tree Hospice.

Lew was a veteran of WWII serving under General Patton.  He was a self-employed truck driver for 60 years retiring in 2015.

He is survived by his wife Mary Thornton, children David Amos and his wife Jane Ramsey, Patricia Lopez and her husband Jose, Linda Thornton, Nancy Thornton, sister in law Freda Amos. Also, survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces. 

He was brother of the late Robert and Gladys and widow of the late Edith (2010).

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380; Interment will be held in Private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willow Tree Hospice 616 E. Cypress St. Kennett Square, PA 19348
