Hail Mary ~ Gentle Woman - music to remember you always and forever.
THANK YOU Aunt Dolly for being my role model for diplomacy, strength, courage and PATIENCE. I will always hold dear to my heart our conversations and all the advice you shared with me especially in my darkest moments along my adult life. You were a constant source of love, support, optimism, and always told me tomorrows gift is hope for my dark moment today. I will always treasure hearing you tell me how much you love me and sweeter yet when you would say how much you loved telling me that you loved me. I loved hearing it EVERYTIME. My heart is broken for my loss but joyful for you to be at rest. Sending you my prayers for a peaceful journey to heaven and to be reunited with Uncle Bill, your parents, Chip, all your sisters, brother, and yes my mom too....Uh oh, Mom will have to share HER brother Bill with you again! I imagine you arrived to the pearly gates wide eyed, bright smile, dancing and singing and yes of course Uncle Bill waiting for you saying....now Dolly it is quiet here in heaven......not any longer Uncle Bill!!!!!!!

She was Mom Mom to me, Mom to a few, but truly, she was "Aunt Dolly" to almost everyone. She would be the first one up in the morning and often the last one to bed. She had plenty of recipes, most of which were of the Old World Style and in her head. To learn to cook (which I did) with her was fun and challenging, as she would often seem to mix ingredients together in no said quantities ( just mix until it looks like this, she would say). That was difficult for a scientist like me. I enjoyed the Friday nights as a kid...Las Vegas pizza, Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, and Falcon Crest. And who could forget both the Saccuto reunion that started at her house and the almost legendary Christmas Night party at her house. What I will remember and carry with me is the Italian Wedding ( Holiday) Soup, which I learned to make from her. I love you Mom Mom, and I miss you...Be at peace now.

I will always remember you with a smile on my face. You were very good to me as a Godmother and Aunt. I will never forget when you helped me pick out Don's and my wedding bands and how hard you worked on my wedding. You and Uncle Bill were wonderful people and I will never forget all the kindness.
