Dear Sue and family, So sorry to hear about Ben but his health issues over although he carried that burden well. He was always so friendly and loved to chat with everyone. He always complimented me on the altars and I use to say I try to make them beautiful inside and he did the same outside. He worked so hard to beautify the grounds around the church ,school, and rectory and I know the dirt was like shale and he carried many times 50 lbs bags of fertilizer, top soil, and mulch and made it into good fertile soil and he did this on many very hot days. The fruits of his labor show and God must be pleased . My Ed liked to talk to him after morning Mass and I'm sure they traded some WWII stories. Rest in peace dear Ben and thank you for all you did

Dear Ruf Family: I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.

Sue, I'm so sorry to hear about Ben's passing. He was a wonderful man and worked so hard to keep the grounds of St. Agnes so beautiful. RIP, Ben. I enjoyed the chats we had on the front steps of Church.
