The McGovern family expresses its deep appreciation to the Dellavecchia Funeral for the care it provided during the planning and carrying out of our parents' Memorial Service. Every touch, setting up the memento tables(and packing them up), greeting family and guests with umbrellas on dreary day, playing the music during the service, was handled wonderfully. Heartfelt thanks to Michael Dellavecchia for the arrangements and to Ron Dellavecchia who was therefor the day!

Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia, Family, and Staff.

On December 30, 2019, my wife Joanne P. Judge-Morris passed away and her family, my wife and my Children’s mother miss her every day. We needed a Funeral Home that would assist us in our grief and help us memorialize our love one. The DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia assisted us with our grief and immediate needs. We were sincerely appreciative with the professional service, care, and pride they provided us with our funeral arrangements to send my wife to our Heavenly Father. Every month since my wife passing, we received letters and cards of condolences from the funeral home. This made us feel like we were part of a family.

I hate being long winded, but I needed to express my sincere appreciation for Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia and his Staff for making my family grief a little easier even though it still seems fresh in our minds. On the first anniversary 12/31/2019, we received a wonderful message and on the anniversary of her birthday 1/6/20221, we received a second message. This showed us the care, comfort, and thoughtfulness from the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia.
My Family and I appreciate you and your staff and hope others realize how thoughtful and caring you are. I believe and will testify that you care more about service than the cost and that is why I have chosen you when our Heavenly Father decide to have me meet my wife again.

I am late writing this testimony because it took this long for my grief and to understand my lovely wife will not be physically here with her family but spiritually, she will always be with us.

Respectfully and with Sincere Appreciation,

The Morris-Judge Family

We entrusted our Mother into DellaVecchia's care in 2011 & there was never a question that they would take care of our Father as well.
Words fail to express the magnitude of professionalism, respect, & comprehensive attention to our family's needs during the loss of our Father.
The entire staff at DellaVecchia's F. H. represents the family business with pride & comforting care to all relatives with whom they have contact. Tim & Walt were the first employees my brother and I met when they came to my house to receive our Father. These two men could not have been more respectful. They permitted my brother & me to stay with our Father as they courteously prepared Daddy for his journey to their facility.
Ron was our Funeral Director. He took many burdens off our shoulders with grace & ease. His professionalism is presented with a familiar aire. We truly were made to feel like family. I must mention how invaluable Cheri's input re: Daddy's obituary was, it will continue to be an immeasurable asset to future families in distress.
In spite of the pandemic, we were amazed that Ron was able to arrange to have the Honor Guard & live bugler at Daddy's service. I must comment that the bugler's pitch control was perfect! Her emboucher was spot on!
We are from a family with many former members of the armed services, & therefore realize the monumental task it was to accomplish this in a short period of time. To have a live bugler play "Taps" was a special honor. Usually, families are afforded a recording of the powerful last bugle call to remember those who gave their lives in the service of the United States. The presentation of the flag was another special honor to our Father that my brother was proud to accept.
With the help of Daddy's brothers in the Masonic Lodge, Ron was able to incorporate their ceremony into the memorial service for our Father, a 32nd degree Mason.
As you read this, you may be thinking the above is as it should be, that it is expected because this is their business. That is, not at all, the way this experience felt. When you are in the throws of grief, you need to be surrounded by those who support you emotionally, physically, & spiritually. You need to be able to trust those around you. The DellaVecchia family mastered this with a loving aura.

With many thanks & God's blessings,
Beverly S. Transue & D. Lonn Spence

My husband Richard Hill and I have known the DellaVecchia family since they began their funeral home business in 1977. When Rich passed away in May 2020, I experienced their caring, professional concern in a personal manner. Pre-planning everything 5 years ago made all the difference in the world to me at a time when my world turned upside down. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for all that was done and the wonderful graveside service they provided for Rich. My thanks to Kristine DellaVecchia for her tireless efforts to arrange for the military honors given to my Marine, who served the country he loved.

My husband, Frank, passed away 5 years ago. DellaVecchia handled his interment. At the time I did not think to thank you. Looking back I want you to know how much your care and direction helped me. Even sending me the monthly news letter for 2 years. I read it cover to cover. Again thank you for your caring and heartfelt sympathy for me.
