William Giffing Obituary
William D. Giffing, 92 of West Chester, PA died Friday April 29, 2022 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
He was the loving husband of Dorothy S. Giffing.
Born July 14, 1929 in Lower Oxford, PA he was the son of the late Augustus Giffing and the late Helen Swayne Giffing.
William worked as a Conductor for Conrail for 38 years. He also worked at The Arc of Chester County.
He loved baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Giffing, and Steven Giffing; siblings, Elizabeth Carter, Virginia Ruth Giffing, Mildred Reesey, Janet Carey, Carole Bannon, Margaret Berry, Jack Giffing and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Earl Giffing and brothers, Allen Giffing and Ronnie Giffing.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380 610-696-1181 www.DellaFH.com; followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery West Chester, PA.
