Wallace Raymond George, 94 years old of West Grove, PA passed away Thursday December 30, 2021 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
He was the husband of the late Florence "Buttons" Ollila George.
Born May 20, 1927 in Highland Park, MI he was the son of the late John Giorgio and the late Tess Zammit-Adami Giorgio.
Wallace grew up in Dearborn, MI and graduated from Wayne State University in 1958. In 1953 he was a missile engineer for Bell Aircraft Corp., moving to Unisys from 1953 to 1989 where he retired as a project engineer.
Wallace served in the U.S. Army Air Corps just after World War II. He was mainly stationed in Japan and spent much of his time maintaining radios on B-29s.
He was a member of Assumption BVM Church.
Wallace enjoyed inventing devices to make his daily life easier, exercising, and movies, especially James Bond films, always insisting that Sean Connery was the best Bond.
He is survived by his children, Peter (Laurel) George of Richmond, VA, son, John (JoAnn) George of Downingtown, PA, son, Don George of Clifton, NJ, daughter, Sandy (Jay) Watt of Spring Hill, FL. He is survived by 2 grandchildren, Jaime and Jonathan, and 3 great-grandchildren, Charlie, Nova, and Anu.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service on Wednesday, January 5, 2021 at 1pm in St. Patrick's Cemetery of West Grove, 460 Union Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348
