Vivian Lasko (Simkins), beloved pillar of her community passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and compassion. She was 94 years old and passed away at her home in Maris Grove in Glen Mills, PA.
She was the devoted wife of the late Oscar Lasko for 47 years. Born on August 23, 1929, Vivian was a true angel on earth, with a heart that overflowed with love. She dedicated her life to helping those in need, selflessly giving her all to charities, foundations and organizations.
Vivian enjoyed bridge, tennis & swimming. She had many other hobbies.
She was the daughter of Samuel Simkins and Dorothy Sherman Simkins growing up in Elkins Park and graduating from Cheltenham High School and Temple University. She loved learning and new experiences as well as strolling along the boardwalk and beaches in Atlantic City and horse country. She always put others before herself. Her warm smile could light up a room.
She was a member of two synagogues and supported many philanthropic organizations.
Vivian is survived by her brother Morton (Judith), nieces and nephews Samuel (Travis), Stephanie (Philip), James (Christine), John (Hilary), Olivia, Alexandra, Valarie, Maxwell, Oscar, Albert, Brenda, Ronald, Amira, Michelle, Jason, Michael, Nikki, David and Chelsea; step children, Gail, Bill (Janet), Robin and Jaye (Hugh), step grandchildren, Josh, Rebecca, Dan, Bob, Josh and Jake.
She was preceded in death by her older loving brother, Leon Simkins (Serena).
Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 11:00 am Haym Salomon Memorial Park 200 Moores Road Malvern PA 19355. After the service, friends and family are invited to Kesher Israel Congregation 1000 Pottstown Pike, West Chester, PA
