Obituary

Tracy Ann Friel, 57, of Parkesburg, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved her most.

She was the beloved wife of Jim Friel.

Born on November 22, 1967, in West Chester, PA, Tracy was the daughter of the late Harry Francis Naughton and Marie Jane Kirby Naughton. She grew up in West Chester and graduated from Henderson High School, where she spent many summers swimming competitively with the local swim club — something she always looked back on fondly.

Tracy was incredibly hardworking and ran a successful small business for 24 years. She took pride in everything she did, whether it was her work, her home, or caring for her family.

More than anything, Tracy loved being with her family. Her favorite days were the ones spent poolside, surrounded by the people she loved. She had a true talent for creating beauty around her — her flower gardens were always in full bloom, her yard perfectly kept, and the inside of her home spotless and welcoming. She loved spending time in Avalon, NJ, where she could relax by the ocean and soak up the sun. Tracy also had a soft spot for animals, especially her loyal dog Wellington, who rarely left her side. Years ago, she loved hunting for treasures at flea markets on the weekends — it was one of her simple joys.

She is survived by her husband Jim; her sons Kevin Lindecamp, Alex Friel, and Lucas Friel; her grandson Landen Lindecamp; her brother John Naughton and his wife Holly; her brother-in-law John Morgan; and her cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Morgan.

Tracy’s life will be honored privately by her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Handi-Crafters in Coatesville, PA — a cause that meant a lot to her.
