Thomas Conrad Schaffer

Thomas “Tom” Conrad Schaffer, age 68 of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, December 18, 2020.

He was born March 4,1952 in Ashtabula, OH, to Arthur Eugene Schaffer and Mildred Catherine Farabaugh Schaffer.

He was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School and 1974 graduate of The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. As a Certified Public Accountant, Tom worked as a Financial Controller and held senior positions in finance during his career.

Tom was an accomplished Bridge player, like his father, and was creative in the kitchen, like his mother. He loved playing golf and was a longtime member of Penn Oaks Golf Club. He enjoyed visiting Naples, Florida in the winter to soak up sunny days by the water. His daughters and grandson made many happy memories in Florida together. He was known for his big laugh, and love of jazz, sunsets and his flower garden.

Tom was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. His daughters knew they could always count on him. His grandchildren brought him such happiness. He was known to break out in song to entertain them.

Tom is survived by brother, Scott (Maria) Schaffer; brother, Daniel Schaffer (Rebecca Rosier); and sister, Janice Schaffer (Thomas Frail). He is also survived by loving daughters, Kristin (Chad) Ramsey and Beth Schaffer (Ryan van den Brand), and precious grandchildren, Finnley and Ayla.

Tom, Dad, Grandpa will forever be deeply missed. 

Services and Interment will be private.
