Thomas Ryan Obituary

Thomas M. Ryan, 73, of West Chester, PA passed away Friday January 24th, 2020 at Penn Medicine Hospice at Chester County. 

Born September 29, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James and Margaret Ryan.

Tommy graduated from St. Thomas Moore in Philadelphia, PA. He was a U.S. Army National Guard Veteran, serving from October 9, 1965 to October 8, 1971. Tommy worked as a Lineman for Verizon for over 30 years with his four brothers. 

Tommy enjoyed reading the daily news, drinking his Dunkin coffee, and spending time with his family. He was a diehard Philadelphia sports fan. He also was a man of God, who enjoyed going to church and reading scripture with his wife.

Tommy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Theresa (Quartapella) Ryan and his children, Toria (Maury) Mason, Tegia (Robert) Boswell, and Trista (Steven) Rosci, his nine grandchildren, Anthony (Lindsay), Nava, Nadia, Robbie, Chloe, Talia, Roman, and Daxton. Tommy will also be forever remembered by his siblings, sisters, Jeannie (Ammo) Ambrosine, Terry (Chip) D’Alessandro, Katie (Nick) Ryan, Joanne Ryan, brothers, Pat (Janice) Ryan, Mike (Regina) Ryan, Mario Fratangeli. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Margaret Ryan, siblings, Jimmy Ryan, Joe Ryan, Peggy (Angelo) Milicia, and Anna Fratangeli. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc, 410 N. Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181 www.DellaFH.com; followed by his Memorial Service at 10:00 am.
