Thomas C. Abrahamsen

Thomas Christian Abrahamsen, 66 of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 19, 2024 at Chester County Hospital.

He was the husband of Renee G. Abrahamsen.

Born May 6, 1957 in Drexel Hill, PA he was the son of the late David E. Abrahamsen and the late Patience M. Balentine.

Thomas grew up in West Chester, PA and graduated from Henderson High School, Penn State University Undergrad, and Temple Law School where he earned his degree of Juris Doctor.

He worked as an Attorney for over 30 years, including time as the Assistant Solicitor for Chester County. One of his proudest achievements was participating in saving the Ten Commandments plaque at the Chester County Courthouse.

He enjoyed spending time with family, beach vacations in Ocean City, NJ, cooking, skiing, reading, and gardening.

In addition to his wife Renee, Thomas is survived by his daughter Kathryn (her partner Christopher), his son, Christian (his wife Kelly), 5 grandchildren, and his sisters, Patience Abrahamsen Fisher (her husband Mark), and Amy Abrahamsen Brady (her husband Tom), and his nieces and nephews. As well as his beloved dog, Stevie G. 

He was preceded in death by his brother James Abrahamsen.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380.  

Interment will be private.
