Thelma Joseph died on Sunday May 17 at the age of 102.
Thelma was a world explorer, visiting over 70 countries. She had a great memory for details and enjoyed sharing her stories. Thelma loved to knit, make her own clothes, do crossword puzzles in pen, and make new friends. She was a graduate of Brooklyn College and the Yale School of Nursing. Thelma worked part-time as a substitute school nurse until her 90s.
Thelma was born in Brooklyn and raised her family in Torrington CT and North Caldwell NJ. She moved to the Hickman in 2021.
Thelma is lovingly remembered by her children, Peter & Tere Joseph, Kenny Joseph & Elyse Seidner-Joseph and David & Sherri Joseph; grandchildren Ari & Emily, Sam, Erica & Tim, Rebekka & Eric, Jacob, and Madelin and great-grandchildren Selma and Reina.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Clifford Joseph, son, Robert Joseph, and grandson, Tyler Lessard.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Funeral Service at 3:00 pm.
Shiva at the home of Kenny Joseph and Elyse Seidner-Joseph Tuesday May 19 and Wednesday May 20. Visit from 7 pm, service at 8:15pm.

Interment will be in Haym Salomon Memorial Park Malvern, PA at a later date.
