Suzanne Lucine

Suzanne Lucine, 67, of Reading, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at her home on May 5, 2023.

Adoring and adored wife of Jeffrey Koller, Suzy is also survived by her mother, Mary Jane Lucine, her sister Elizabeth Trostle and her beloved niece and nephew, Meghan and Matthew Trostle. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Albert Lucine, Jr. who was her mentor and guiding role model.

Suzy's memory will also be cherished by a legion of dear, diverse, and wonderful friends throughout the country.

Suzy grew up in Malvern, Pennsylvania on her family's Sugarstone Farm where her love of horses and dogs was forged early on as she carried on that family tradition. She was a graduate of Kutztown University where she majored in education and captained the women's lacrosse team.

After college graduation, she worked in several education settings as a special education teacher and although she always was a staunch supporter of all educational endeavors, it was her passion for the horses and people of the Morgan horse world, established in her childhood, that would drive her personal and professional experiences for the rest of her life. A celebrated and award-winning writer, photographer, and cheerleader for I all things Morgan, Suzy's articles and photographs have appeared in local, regional, and national publications.

In addition to her professional acclaim, Suzy's generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, dependability and undaunting courage have made her an irreplaceable presence in the lives of her many, many friends. In the face of a multitude of health challenges, Suzy inspired all who knew her with a strength, dignity, and optimism that was uniquely her own. This was her greatest gift. She will always have a place in the hearts of those who loved her, as they remember the Iconic Suzy Lucine.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service Funeral service 1pm on Saturday May 20, 2023 at the Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery 1235 Birmingham Road West Chester, PA 19382.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Broadmoor at a future date. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust in memory of Suzy Lucine 4037 Iron Works Parkway, Suite 130 Lexington, KY 40511.
