Susan Ann Strohmetz

Susan Ann Strohmetz, 78 Years of West Chester, PA, surrounded by her loving family, passed away at the Hickman in West Chester on February 23, 2025. 

Born May 27, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Lawrence McStravog and the late Suzanne Gartland McStravog.  She grew up in Drexel Hill, PA and graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame De Namur in Villanova, PA.  She was a member of St Agnes church in West Chester, PA. 

She enjoyed a career in real estate.  She was a realtor for Prudential, Fox & Roach where she built lifelong friendships.

Susan had a zest for life and an infectious laugh.  She loved hanging out with friends, babysitting her grandchildren, jewelry making, traveling and reading.  She enjoyed plenty of time in the summers at the Ocean City NJ shore and Dewey beach.  She loved Halloween so much that she would dress in costume to greet the neighborhood children.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Manzi, son, Chris Anderson, son, Richard Strohmetz, son, Michael (Tracy) Strohmetz, son, Lucien Strohmetz; grandchildren, Asher, Isabel, Jake, Sara, Holly and Royal, brother, Larry (Bridget) McStravog, sister, Denise (Bob) Miller, brother, Terrance McStravog, sister in law Trish McStravog and brother, Patrick McStravog, O.S.A. and her nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by sister, Patricia McStravog, brother, Sean McStravog, and brother, Brian McStravog.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 am – 10:45am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester PA 19380; followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Penn Memory Center and or The Hickman in West Chester.
