Steven John Parsons 33 of West Chester, PA passed at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday January 25, 2023.
Born October 28, 1989 in West Chester, PA. He was the beloved son of Patricia Laurento/Parsons Steven grew up in West Chester and graduated from Henderson High School.
Steven was a member of Saint Agnes Church in West Chester. When he visited Cape May, New Jersey he loved to visit Our Lady Star of The Sea. Steven’s and his mother’s last mass was there together, it was very special to be together in his favorite place.
He worked as a Sale Associate for Amazon which he loved. Steven had dreams of having an electric bike for himself, from the place he worked. He was such a great people person, everybody loved him. He instantly fell in love with his boss and his family. He said they were part of his family and had planned to be with him for many years to come. He had finally found his happy place. Mom met Scott and knew why Steven had such love and respect for this fine man.
Steven loved Cape May, New Jersey and thank God he was able to go a week before his passing. He had an incredible time down there as he did every time he visited. On many of these visits he would be accompanied by family, and his girlfriend Skyler. He recently went on a dolphin watch called the Thunder Cat, he absolutely loved it and even made a video about it. He talked about experiencing it again with his family the next summer. Steven also loved Ocean City, New Jersey and especially consignment shops, and let’s not forget about DOTS Donuts. His favorite donut from DOTS was a glazed donut. While on the way to Ocean City, New Jersey we would always stop at Rosie’s Market. Steven specifically loved his peaches and apple sauce, which had to have cinnamon in it, he always looked forward to this also. He looked forward to this vacation every year, which was typically 2 weeks. As he loved the peacefulness of the shore and relaxing on the porch. Steven loved every second he had when he was down at the beach with his family. Every year our family had a golf tournament and Steven really knew how to make us laugh. He was really into it and he took it pretty seriously, it was a real competition. But let’s not forget about Tilt-A-Whirl, the only ride he would ride. He was a trip, you could hear Steven scream as he was having a blast. Now that we look back, we are very thankful that Steven took videos and uploaded them, as we are filled with many memories and enjoy looking back at them. A moment we’ll never forget is when Steven was on the boardwalk with his family, and he just sat down to eat his Kohr’s ice cream. Enjoying his ice cream, the wind caused a Shrivers taffy balloon to knock the ice cream right off his cone. His expression was priceless, Steven wanted to smile and laugh at this because it was too crazy to be true. After this happened Steven looked down at his cone and looked at Nick in disbelief. Steven said he should pop that Shrivers taffy balloon. He went up and got another ice cream afterwards, but this memory will stay with us, as well as many others. We convinced Steven to go on a boat ride in Ocean City to go fishing. We got caught in a horrible storm of hail and lightning. Steven was petrified, we were going to ride it out, but they called us back to the dock. As soon as we hit the dock, we weren’t even tied up yet and Steven booked it as fast he could. By the time Mom got the boat tied off and secured, Steven was enjoying a nice slice of pizza, and refused to go back out onto the boat after the storm passed. Years later we convinced Steven to go back out with the family fishing again. It was practically a repeat of years before except there was no pizza waiting at the dock this time. Steven wanted to eventually reside at the beach and his family will follow in his wishes. Steven loved to spend time with his Mom, talking about trains and even going on train rides. Which we have recently done, in the summer of 2022. He knew everything about trains and if he wanted to, he could talk about it all day. He knew about trains from all different states. He had such a love for tractors, his favorite tractor was his Yamaha 3600 YT PTO. Steven loved to work on them, and to also ride them. He also had a love for computers, it was his side hobby. He had such a passion for it, he could fix about any laptop and re-sell them. We are so fortunate that Steven was able to do a lot of traveling. Steven was not for sitting around, he also wanted to go out and just be about. He had the biggest, kindest, and caring heart. Even caring about others before himself, you would’ve never known he was going through any pain. Having a positive outlook on life day by day, he still managed to make everyone in the room happy. Steven loved the holidays because it was all about family. But his favorite was Christmas, he knew how much it brought the family together and his life-sized Santa and Mrs. Claus. Some of his favorite food to eat specifically was Mommom’s holiday bread and stuffing, which has been passed down to Mom. Steven was always about family traditions, as long as it brought us together. The Christmas tree was always picked out together as a family, where it always had to be a mutual agreement with everyone involved.
Steven Parsons aka stevenrocks137, we will love you forever.
Steven is survived by his mother Patricia A Laurento/Parsons, brother Nicholas and sister Tiffany Laurento/Parsons, nieces Saddie and London, nephew Reign, and his girlfriend of 4 years, Skyler Cantwell (who is always a part of our family), father Steve Parsons (Florida).
