Shirley C. Kaplan, 78 of Malvern, PA died Sunday January 17, 2021 at the Brandywine Hall Care Center in West Chester.
She was the wife of the late Bernard Kaplan.
Born April 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late Charles Ruer and the late Anna Hoffman Ruer.
Shirley was an active member of the Kesher Isreal Congregation where she was a kindergarten teacher for over 18 years. While at Kesher, she was involved in the choir, plays, and could always be found volunteering for the Congregation.
Shirley was a loving and caring person who would always help and care for those in need.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Kaplar and her husband Phil, Arlene Bergman, grandchildren, Hanna, Sean, Chas, Shale, two great grandchildren and brothers Joe Ruer (Paula), and Harry Ruer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Ruer and his wife Twila.
Services and interment will be private at Haym Salomon Memorial Park Malvern PA.
