Shirlee June Rosenkrantz Kaplan

Shirlee (nee Rosenkrantz) Kaplan, 97 of King of Prussia, PA and formerly of Overbrook Park, PA passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023. 

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene (Gene) Kaplan and loving companion of Dr. Joseph Bender.  Daughter of the late Gertrude (nee Korenbleth) and Herman Rosenkrantz, sister of the late Ruth Rosenkrantz, Doris (Creed), Natalie (Josephs), Renée (Kaseff), and Sandra (Brotman).  Loving mother to Joel (Marlene), and Beverly Kraut (late Alan).  Grandmother to Matthew, Bradley (Sabrina), Casey, Joshua (Julia) and Benjamin (Natalie).  Great-grandmother to Greta, Amandine, Théo, Oren, Pascal, Matilda, Solomon, Ashton, Ryder, Jaden and Misha. 

As a gemologist, she and Gene (watchmaker) celebrated over 50 years running their jewelry store (Kerby Jewelers, Philadelphia).  Shirlee was one of the founders of the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. 

Contributions in memory of Shirlee can be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Your donations will continue to support spousal donations in memory of the kidney Shirlee donated to Gene (1992).

Services were held at the Haym Salomon Memorial Park.
