Obituary

Sarah T. Rock, 88 of Glen Mills, PA passed away Tuesday May 12, 2026 at Paoli Hospital. 

She was the wife of the late Edward Paul Rock, D.O. 

Born June 29, 1937 in Minersville, PA she was the daughter of the late James Donahue Toole and the late Alberta Corgan Toole. 

Sarah graduated from Kingston High school where she was on the debate team and voted Queen of the Prom.  She then went to Marywood college, where she received a Masters degree in Mathematics.  Upon graduation, she worked as an Advance Mathematics teacher at American University and Upper Darby High School. The mother of six, a grandmother to 13 and great grandmother of one. 

She was an active volunteer in the community, co-chairwomen of the Chester County Hospital May Festival, member of the Board of Directors at Concord Country Club where she served as secretary and pool chairwoman for numerous years.  In her free time, she enjoyed playing golf and tennis with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed weekends on the sassafras river. 

Sarah is survived by five children, MaryAnn Zabilowicz (John), Paul (Teresa), Kathleen Rock-Ferraro, Michael (Sharon), and John.  She was preceded in death by her son James and her brother James (Molly).

Donations can be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in the honor of her beloved Seamus.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 9:30 am - 10:15 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church 15 East Pleasant Grove Rd West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA
