Rose Marie J. Tamburro

Rose Marie J. Tamburro (Policastro) of East Norriton, PA, (formerly of West Chester) died peacefully on April 30, 2023. 

She was born in Newark, NJ, to George and Marie Policastro (Cushion). 

After graduating from East Side High School in Newark, she graduated top of her class in banking school. 

She was married to William C., Sr., then worked in two different banks and retired to raise her family.  They relocated to West Chester, PA, in 1961.  She worked for Vanguard and IMM to continue her love of the financial industry.  For many years, she served in an elected position as Minority Inspector at the polls in Westtown Township.  In 2007 she fulfilled a lifelong dream of going to college and graduated Cum Laude from West Chester University with a degree in History and a minor in Italian.  

Rose Marie was loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her.  She was an outstanding role model for all and will be greatly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband, William C., Sr., to whom she was married for 63 years.  She is survived by her five children Diane (Michael Morrison, deceased), William C., Jr. (Janet Muha), Jeffrey (Cary Wagner), Elaine (Lawrence O’Reilly), Claire, and four grandchildren Alexandra and Christopher Tamburro and Sophia and Matthew O’Reilly.

Services will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, in Westtown, PA.  Visitation will be 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.  Internment will be private.
