Obituary

Ronald John Fojtlin, 78 of West Chester, PA passed away Saturday November 23, 2024 at his home in West Chester.

Born October 2, 1946, in Plainfield, NJ and raised in Dunellen, NJ he was the son of the late John Peter Fojtlin and the late Josephine Agnes Fojtlin (nee Kisko).  He was preceded in death by sister Jill Fojtlin.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Fojtlin (nee Freyer) and brother Dennis Fojtlin (Paula). Ronald was the proud father of Sarah Beth Rensman (Jim).  He was known affectionately as “Pop-Pop” to his grandchildren Reese, Luke, and Benjamin.

Ronald graduated from Rutgers University in 1978 and attained the rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Army. He had a long and successful career in global distribution and logistics for both American Standard and DMC Corporation.  As a 30 plus year member of the Knight of Columbus, a Catholic Organization, Ronald held various leadership positions the most senior being Grand Knight.  In addition, he served on the board of his local parish St John the Evangelist in Dunellen, NJ.  He was an excellent marksman who enjoyed all things outdoors except for the squirrels that were always invading his bird feeder.

Ronald was a true man for others. He was married to the love of his life Donna for almost 50 years.  His daughter Sarah was the apple of his eye, and he was everything to her.  Softball Coach, Santa Clause, or on demand general contractor whatever was asked of him his answer was always “yes”.  After relocating from NJ to PA to be closer to his grandchildren, “Pop-pop” proudly attended all their games and activities.

He will be forever missed and remembered by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
