Rochelle "Shelley" Kachejian

Rochelle "Shelley" Kachejian, 62 of Downingtown, passed away on November 7, 2020 after an extended illness. 

Born on July 11, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Karabed C. Kachejian and Helen B. Kachejian of West Chester.  

Shelley spent her early life in West Chester, where she graduated from Henderson High School, Class of 1976. She was a standout player in softball, field hockey, and lacrosse. She earned a reputation as a fearless goalie. She also played in an ice hockey league. Later, Shelley attended Penn State University where she earned an Associate’s Degree.
Shelley spent four years in the Air Force (1979-1983) with service in Texas (Bergstrom AFB) and Okinawa. She was Senior Airman and was a Continuous Photoprocessing Specialist. She also joined the All Air Force softball team that traveled to several countries in the Pacific region. Since 2011, she lived at Ashbridge Manor Senior Living in Downingtown due to several health issues.

Rochelle is survived by her sister, Regina K. Curley of West Chester, her brother, Kerry C. Kachejian of Delray Beach, FL (His wife: Alice B. Kachejian), Nieces & Nephews Rebecca Curley (West Chester); Peter Curley & wife Nicole (GA); Nathaniel Curley & wife Mai (Japan), Kent Kachejian, Kara Kachejian (Arlington VA), Kathryn Kachejian, Grandnephew Hunter Roger (West Chester) and Cousin William Peters, of New Jersey, who was like a brother.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Kachejian (2005). 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be private.
