Richard “Rick” Thomas Bois of West Chester.
Richard “Rick” Thomas Bois, 65 of West Chester, PA died Tuesday November 9, 2021 at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood.
Rick was the adoring husband to Jacqueline A. Bois with whom had shared 31 years of marriage.
Born July 21, 1956 in Manchester, NH he was the son of the late Maurice Bois and the late Yeteve Vezina Bois.
Rick was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he received his bachelor's degree Zoology. He then went to St. Louis University and earned his master’s degree in physiology. Rick then graduated from the St. Louis School of Medicine and went on to do his residency at the Bowman Gray Hospital at Wake Forest University.
After earning his medical license, Rick went into private practice for four years. He was recruited by UCLA and taught there for seven years.
Rick moved to West Chester and taught at Temple University for eight years. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and needed to become a disabled physician. That did not stop him from practicing. He worked as a Medical Director for Versalus Health where he predominantly performed real time chart reviews. Rick considered Versalus Health his new work home and Rick adored all of his coworkers.
Rick enjoyed woodworking, cooking, traveling. Rick Loved bowling and participated in bowling leagues. He will be remembered as a kind, even tempered man who could always diffuse any situation. He had a brilliant mind and was so very caring and thoughtful of others. His greatest love was his wife, Jacqueline.
In addition to his loving wife, Rick is survived by his brother, Maurice Bois and his wife Susan, sisters, Pamela Sleeper, and Judy Cheron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and nephews.
