Richard “Dick” W. Wilson, 86 of West Chester, PA passed away Friday December 20, 2024 at the Park Lane Post Acute.
Born March 7, 1938 in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Walter A. Wilson and Eleanor M. Fry Wilson.
Dick grew up in West Chester and graduated from West Chester Henderson High School in 1956. He was the center for the football team, played basketball and was a pitcher for the baseball team. He also pitched for the West Chester Adult Baseball League in its early days.
He worked for over 40 years at Lenape Forge in West Chester.
Dick enjoyed bowling, watching baseball, football and auto racing. He also loved to fish at Marsh Creek with his group of friends or spend Saturday’s on the lake with his son, “hoping the fish will play today.” There would always be a seat, fishing pole, and chocolate doughnuts waiting in the boat for you.
He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his former wife Kay Wilson (Gallagher), his daughter Lisa (Rich) Wilson and son, Jeffrey Wilson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends and his cat Miss Annie.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Nancy Love and Brenda Malin.
Services and Interment will be held at a later date.
