Richard “Dick” Allison, 79 of West Chester, PA died peacefully on Saturday March 20, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
Born May 18, 1941 in Upland, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence Lewis Allison and the late Edna Fitzgerald Allison and the youngest and last surviving of his 9 siblings.
He was the loving husband of Catherine (O’Toole) Allison for 57 years.
As a proud member of the Teamsters for 34 years, Dick worked as a commercial truck driver for Consolidated Freightways driving tractor trailers hauling a wide variety of freight.
Dick had always been a dedicated fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams. He loved the outdoors and over the years enjoyed many hobbies, his favorites being Bass fishing, target shooting and archery. In later years, what brought him the most joy was spending fun times with his seven grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his daughters, Kelly Anne Cifone (Robert), Susan Biela (Robert), Karen Allison Sergovic (David), and seven grandchildren. Michael Cifone, Allison Cifone, Danielle Celotto, Nicole Celotto, Andrew Sergovic, Anna Sergovic and Maeve Sergovic and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at the SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00. Interment will be in Private.
