Richard R. Stiebritz, 90, of West Chester, PA, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025 at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Catherine (Mulville) Stiebritz and they were married 66 years.
Born October 5, 1935, in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late Arthur J. Stiebritz and the late Lena Mae (Carter) Stiebritz.
Richard grew up in Bryn Mawr and graduated from Radnor High School.
He was proud to have served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
Richard worked as an Automatic Machine Mechanic for Wyeth Laboratories for over 20 years. He also repaired lawn mowers in his spare time from the family’s garage in Wayne, PA.
He resided in Wayne for more than 30 years and then Cape May, NJ for 20 years before moving to West Chester.
Richard was quick with a smile that extended to the twinkle in his eyes and known for his willingness to do anything for anyone. When not tinkering in his garage workshop, he enjoyed gardening, crabbing, collecting watches, building birdhouses and his koi pond.
Richard was a member of St. Katherine of Siena Church and later a longtime parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Cape May, New Jersey where he was active as an usher and in the Knights of Columbus. Most recently, he was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church in West Chester.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Richard R. (Maureen) Stiebritz; son, William A. (Lorri) Stiebritz; daughter, Sandra S. (Paul) Gonsalves; grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, Madalyn, Julia, Hunter, Cole, Jennafer and Kristyn; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Margot and Tommaso; and his precious cat Holly.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amaryllis Di Pietro.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 1325 E. Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus 110 West Market Street West Chester, PA 19382.
