Rebecca Jeanne Showers

Rebecca Jeanne Showers, age 48, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born March 1, 1977, in Allentown, PA, she was the beloved daughter of David Showers and Ellie (Chauvin) Showers.

Rebecca was raised in Wallingford, PA. She graduated from Strath Haven High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in History from West Chester University.

She enjoyed an active and adventurous life of mountain biking, hiking, camping and visiting local gardens, which all brought her much joy; as did her love for cooking, singing, reading, traveling and exploring with her beloved dog, Chase, her constant companion.

Rebecca built a fulfilling career as a Global Contracts Manager in the legal field, where her expertise and professionalism left a lasting mark. 

She also dedicated time to giving back, supporting causes such as Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Above all, Rebecca was a devoted family member, friend and wife. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Coyle, her brother Jason Showers and his wife Nola (Kidd), and her cherished nieces Danielle and Sierra Showers of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by several loving aunts & uncles:  Cindy Chauvin of Louisiana, Lynn (Chauvin) Gomer of California, Mazie (Owen) Chauvin of California, Jean (Showers) Seyfert of Texas, Sylvia (Showers) and Doug Mace of Pennsylvania, Jon and Geausa Showers of Florida, Sandra (Showers) Hinnershitz-Chang of Pennsylvania, along with many loving cousins across the country.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
