Raymond F. Welte

Raymond F. Welte, 89 of Exton, PA died peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA.

Born April 18, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the oldest son of the late Raymond F. Welte and the late Anna McCool Welte.  
 
He was the loving husband of Margaret A. Connell Welte for 66 years.  They lived in Philadelphia (Roxborough) until 2013 when they moved to Chester County.  “Ray & Marge were still best-friends and could often be seen still walking hand-in-hand”. 
 
Raymond graduated from St. John the Baptist High School.  Subsequently, he served in the U.S. Navy until 1955.  Raymond began his work career at Crescent Ink & Color, currently known as Croda Inks Corporation and remained there as the Regional Manager, until his retirement in 1993.
 
While living in Roxborough, he was a dedicated member of St. John the Baptist Church, where he helped in the CYO Program, and also served as an Usher, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. 
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Peggy (Steve Clark); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Daniel Seger), Steven (Katie Boyer), and Kevin (Lisa Callaghan) and his sweet great-granddaughters Nora Rae & Hailey Elizabeth Seger.
 
Ray is known for his outgoing personality and always has a smile on his face.  He is blessed with a very large extended family as well.  He enjoyed Summers with his family in Sea Isle City.  He was generous and kind and will be greatly missed by all.  
 
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Monday, June 21st, 2021 from 9:30 AM  - 10:45 AM at SS. Philip & James Church, 723 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
 
Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA
