Philip J. Norton

Philip J. Norton, 60 of West Chester, PA, passed away Thursday August 20, 2026, at his home in North Hills

Born April 14, 1966, in Staten Island, he was the son of the late James Norton and the late Helen Kuroski.

Philip grew up in Freehold New Jersey and graduated from Saint John Vianney High School and later earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Delaware where he was a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.

He spent just over 30 years working as an account executive for ePlus Technology, a company founded by his cousin Phil Norton.

Philip was a member of The Knights of Columbus organization as well as St Agnes Church, where his children Victoria and Patrick attended kindergarten through 8th grade.

He enjoyed coaching St Agnes football beginning with his son Patrick and continuing for over a decade until the time of his passing. Philip was a loving father who always emphasized the importance of family and being there for each other through difficult times. He was an avid golfer preaching his “drive for show, putt for dough” strategy and volunteering with the First Tee to help teach kids the fundamentals and life value of the game.

Philip was a lifelong cyclist from his orange stump jumper at the University of Delaware to the many miles he logged on Chester County’s backroads. He spent many weekends with his family and late dogs Khali and Roscoe at the Natural Lands Trust preserves. Philip was a notable chef, cutting his teeth at Perkin’s Pancake House, serving out late nights grilled cheese sandwiches in college, and since priding himself on his Meadow Creek smoker, carrying a tradition of pulled pork sandwiches for the St. Agnes football homecoming game.

He is survived by his son, Patrick Norton, daughter, Victoria Norton, brothers, Jay Norton, Paul Norton, and Stephen Norton.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 10:00 am - 11:45 am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester PA 19380 Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
