Pauline A. Bachtle

Pauline A. Bachtle, 89 of West Chester, PA passed away Saturday May 10, 2025 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown.

She was the wife of the late David W. Bachtle.

Born in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late John J. D'Annunzio and the late Consettina A. DiMarzio D'Annunzio.

Pauline grew up in West Chester and graduated from Goldey-Beacom College with an executive secretary associates degree.

Pauline began working for the West Chester Area School District in 1975 at East High School as a secretary, and was also elected president of the Secretarial Union. She continued her tenure by transferring to the WCASD Administrative Building working in the Human Resources Department. She was later promoted to District Purchasing Agent where she concluded her career after 37 years. During this period Pauline also served as School Board Secretary

She enjoyed bird watching, needlepointing and gardening and was the former President of the Garden Club. She also enjoyed dining at Gramm’s Kitchen! Pauline was very active and loved taking trips, especially to Maine. After retirement, she was very philanthropic in the West Chester community. Most of all, Pauline enjoyed spending time with friends and taking care of family.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Cynthia A. Bachtle of West Chester, sisters Elizabeth D’Annunzio of Cochranville and Ann Lynch and her husband Jerome of Madison, Maine and their son John Lynch and his wife Lindsey and their daughters Addison and Isabelle.

Services and Interment will be private.
