Pauline Muzio Bannan, 101 of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully on her own terms on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at the Wyndmoor Hills Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wyndmoor, PA
She was the wife of the late John J. Bannan, Sr.
Born September 20, 1920 in Knickerbocker/Malvern, PA she was the daughter of the late Pasquale DiMuzio and the late Sabbia DiCamillis DiMuzio.
Pauline was a 1938 graduate of West Chester High School. She was employed at the US Naval Yard in Philadelphia and for the US Government in the price control division. She retired from Merrill Lynch, West Chester office, in the 1980’s as an administrative assistant.
Pauline was known to many as Aunt Patty or Aunt Pauline. She became the matriarch of the family after the passing of her sister, Annetta Gianguilio. She was surrounded by her close knit family. She hosted Thanksgiving annually for her extended family for many years and finally retired in her late 80’s. She enjoyed making pizzelles for family members and each family received their own portion annually with a separate container for the pets. She traveled extensively and whenever the opportunity arose. She was an avid reader and walker and walked daily throughout West Chester well into her late 90’s.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Bannan Graf, John J. Bannan, Jr. (wife Patty); grandchildren Mackenzie Graf Turner, (husband Keith), Kyle E. Graf, (wife Kate) Austin C. Graf; and great grandchildren, Riley S. Turner and Reagan I.Turner.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth S. Bannan.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. of West Chester, PA 610-696-1181; www.DellaFH.com. Given the current COVID circumstances, the family requests that family and friends who attend visitation wear a mask, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, in respect for the safety of others.
Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
