Paul M. “Marty” Jackson passed peacefully from this life on May 5, 2021, with family at his side, at Chester County Hospital Hospice after a short illness. Marty was born to the late Paul M Jackson and the late Marie Mc Cusker Jackson on July 24,1947. Marty died in the same hospital where he was born.
Marty was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was employed by Peco/Exelon, starting out at the old West Chester steam plant. After returning from Vietnam in 1970, he resumed his employment at Peco where he stayed for the next 50 years. Marty rose in the ranks becoming a Senior Level Certified Instructor, earning certifications from DCCC and MCCC. Marty trained countless employees in the electric and nuclear division.
Marty is survived by his sister Dianne Jackson McGuirk (Ray) of West Chester, nieces and nephews Kathy Engel (Joe) of Wernesville, PA, Jim McGuirk (Lynn) of Downingtown, PA, Betsy Call of West Chester, PA, Mark McGuirk of West Chester, PA, Brian McGuirk of Coatesville, PA Sarah McGuirk of Downingtown, PA, Adam Engel of Boise, ID, Abby Engel Terrio (Alex) of Sommerville, MA, Katie Call and Christine Call of West Chester, PA, Troy, Jeremiah and Isabella Mack of Downingtown, PA. Also survived by his lifelong companion Donna DiStefano Baker, her daughter Carla Baker (Junior Cruz) their sons, Christopher Cruz {Maggie) and Dominick Cruz, and Dominick’s son Kylo.
Marty cherished time with family and friends. At Christmas Marty would travel to 3 three states playing Santa for the children of relatives and friends, making sure everyone got a gift. After retirement, Marty actually enjoyed being called back to work, training employees for outages at Peco nuclear plants. Marty enjoyed baseball and football. He loved watching Chris and Dominick play, critiquing every move. He encouraged Troy and JJ in their athletic pursuits. He was a long time Eagles ticket holder and traveled to many Phillies games. Marty was beloved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed.

Interment will be in St Agnes Cemetery.
