Patrick Joseph Cooney, Sr.

Patrick Joseph Cooney Sr., 77 of Exton, PA passed away Saturday June 20, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Tosca (Filippone) Cooney.

Born May 4, 1949 in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Patrick Joseph Cooney and the late Maragret Ann Collins Cooney.

He worked as a Police Officer and Detective for the Rockland County Sherrif’s Department. 

Patrick was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Church. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Patrick Joseph Cooney, Jr. and his wife Lauren, his sister, Maureen and grandsons Ryden and Reece.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 11:00 am -  11:45 am at St. Elizabeth Church 120 St. Elizabeth Dr. Chester Springs, PA 19425, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
