Patricia B. Irvine

Patricia B. Irvine passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Saturday July 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Pat was born on September 14, 1938, in Philadelphia to Thomas A. Bruder, Sr. and Mary A. (nee Stitt) and was the third oldest of six children. Pat went to Merion Mercy Academy for both grade school and High school where she was a wonderful student, athlete, and friend. She then went on to Georgetown Visitation for her college years.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, John W. Irvine Jr, her parents, and brothers Thomas A. Bruder Jr., Michael A. Bruder, James J. Bruder and brother-in-law Albert W. Tegler. 

Pat is survived by her children; John W. Irvine III, Mary P. Kane (William), Michael F. Irvine (Lisa), Maureen D. Adams (Lawrence), James G. Irvine, Timothy T. Irvine (Vicki), and Stephanie M. Lyons (Bradford), as well as 31 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, her sisters; Mary Ann Flanigan (née Bruder), and Janet P. Tegler ( née Bruder), sister-in-law’s; Kathleen Bruder (nee Ryan), Meredith Bruder, Maripeg M. Bruder and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pat is recognized as one of the quintessential individuals that lived her life literally, by doing all that she could, with all those she encountered, to make the world a better place. Pat believed the way to live your life was to live by example. The Pillars throughout her Life were Faith, Family & Love.

Pat devoted her selfless life to her Catholic Faith, her beloved husband, 7 children and their spouses, her 31 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Anyone that knew Pat, knew that they were in for a story about her family.  She was such a proud & thoughtful woman. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 9:00 AM – 10:15 am followed by her Funeral Mass, at 10:30am at St. Katherine of Sienna Church, 104 S. Aberdeen Ave. Wayne, PA 19087. Interment Private, immediate family only.
