Patricia A. Grannis

Patricia A. Grannis, 77, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Newtown Square, PA.

Born January 11, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Phillips and the late Rose Santo Phillips.

Pat grew up in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and attended St. Benedict’s Grade School and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia.

Pat was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians in Abington, PA, before retiring and moving to Lewes, DE, where she was a parishioner of St. Edmonds Catholic Church in Rehoboth, DE.

She loved hosting her grandchildren at the beach each summer where she would spoil them by making waffles and ice cream, her homemade pound cake and cookies. She was the fun grandmom, who often took her grandkids to the waterpark, and you would even find her going down the slides with them. Additionally, she enjoyed going to the Phillies Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida each year.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and beloved nephew. She is survived by her partner of 30 years, Al Maahs, her dear sister, Linda Mullin, her children Tina Grannis (Steve Dixel), Ron Grannis (Jane) and Julie Crowe (Brian), and her niece and nephews. She was a wonderful mother and cherished being a grandmother to her eight grandchildren: Reilly, Charlie, Nick, Nora, Christopher, Benny, Marty, and Emaline.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 9:30 - 10:45 am at Our Lady Help of Christians (1500 Marian Rd, Abington, PA 19001), followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadephia, PA.
