Patricia M. Steel

Patricia M. Steel, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Pat’s life was dedicated to her family and friends.

Born May 28, 1951 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael Napolitano and the late Veronica Gwiazda Napolitano. She grew up in Throop, PA and earned a Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career caring for others as a pediatric nurse prior to moving to West Chester, PA where she created a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 55 years, John, and their four children.

Pat found joy in caring for her beloved pets, tending to her garden, solving puzzles, boating, and reading a good book. Her greatest joy was her family; she was happiest when she was attending any of her grandchildren’s activities, hosting family gatherings, or boating on the Chesapeake with John and their dog, Henry.

Pat had numerous causes dear to her heart and gave generously of her time, volunteering at animal shelters, serving as a board member of the Chadds Ford Historical Society, and contributing as a proud member of the Pennsylvania chapter of the PEO.

She is survived by her loving husband John; her children Kim (Chris), Jonathan (Rachel), Shannon (Rob), and Ryan (Maria); and ten wonderful grandchildren.

Services and Interment will be private.
