Patricia Ann Court, 94 of West Chester, PA passed away Saturday March 1, 2025 at Barclay Friends in West Chester.
She was the wife of the late Harold Richard Court with whom she shared seventy-four years of marriage & who passed on only thirty-four days prior to her passing.
Born August 20, 1930 in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late William J. Brosius and the late Marie Eckels Brosius. She grew up at 110 E. Washington Street in West Chester, PA and graduated from West Chester Senior High School where she played field hockey & was a Cheerleader. She worked at DuPont for a brief time after graduation where she contracted Bulbar Polio and became the first person in West Chester to fully recover from the disease after two years of treatment & quarantine.
Patty loved her faith & her church & was a member of First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, PA for over seventy-five years. She was funny, vivacious, loyal, & proud of her Irish heritage. She was a crazy Phillies fan, going to many home games, especially on West Chester night, & a loyal Eagles fan. She would carry her transistor radio around with her never missing any of the action. She was a member of the “Card Club” along with her high school girlfriends for over 20 years. She also was an avid bowler, first being the youngest teammate to being the oldest, retiring from the team when Covid came in 2020 at the age of ninety!
Patty is survived by her daughters Wendy Court Fry & Cindy Court Paterson; granddaughters, Samantha Roberts (Ryan), Courtney, and Stephanie Paterson; and great-granddaughters, Julianna and Alexandra Roberts. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Brosius Parke and Doris Brosius Coxe, and her grandchildren, Daniel Timothy Fry and Elizabeth Ann Christy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11:00 pm - 11:45 am at First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 130 W. Miner St. West Chester PA 19382; followed by her Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.
Interment will be immediately after in Oaklands Cemetery, 1042 Pottstown Pike, West Chester, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patty’s name to Shriners Children Philadelphia, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
