Panagiota N. Stathis, 99 years old of West Chester, PA passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA.
She was the wife of the late Nicholas L. Stathis.
Born January 15, 1922 in Leonidio, Arcadia, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Athanasios M. Lycourias and the late Eleni Lycourias.
Panagiota loved her church. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook; mainly Greek dishes. Her Greek pastries were delicious. She was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society of St. Luke.
She is survived by her son, Peter N. Stathis of West Chester, PA; niece, Georgia Karolides of Queens, NY; nephews, Louis C. Stathis and George C. Stathis both of Virginia, and grand nephew, Karolos Karolides and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Panagiotis Lycourias, Metaxia Veliseratos, and Petroula Sarri.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation from 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Malin Road, Broomall, PA; followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held in Green Mount Cemetery West Chester PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Malin Road, Broomall, PA.
