Om P. Arora, 77, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
Born on October 5, 1948, in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, India, Om spent much of his early life in India before building a life in the United States.
In India, Om was a businessman. After moving to the United States, he found a second calling as a mental health counselor, a profession that reflected something deeply central to who he was. Om was, above all, a caretaker. He devoted himself to making sure the people around him felt supported, secure, and cared for. He carried the worries of others willingly, often taking on more himself so that those he loved would have less to bear.
At the center of his life was his wife, Madhu. Their life together was defined by love, partnership, and a sweet dependence on one another. They shared the rhythms of everyday life completely, each caring for the other in ways both large and small.
Om was a devoted father to his sons, Vishal and Vivek, and a loving father-in-law to Neha and Sheetal. He was also a deeply loving grandfather to Laksh and Saavn, who brought him tremendous joy.
His family will remember him for his thoughtfulness, his generosity of spirit, and the quiet way he made caring for others the center of his life. He wanted the people he loved to feel protected and supported, and he spent his life doing everything he could to make that true.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
