Norman W. Elliott Norm to friends and family, he was a longtime resident of West Chester, an entertainer who played many greater Philadelphia Venues throughout much of his career as a jazz guitarist, he was well known throughout the area. His musical career spanned 70 years and took him from his humble beginnings playing on street corners in N. Plainfield New Jersey during the depression, to playing the big hotels in Las Vegas in the late fifties. When his daughters were born, he and his wife Gini moved home to the West Chester area where he taught guitar to those willing to learn. He took a position in the mid 70s, at West Chester State College as an Audio Technician, stage manager and instrument maintenance and repair man. Norm was an avid reader, had a thirst for knowledge and a dry wit that was the joy of many. A gentle soul is gone, and we will mourn him deeply. He is predeceased by his wife of 42 years. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Nancy and Suzanne, and his 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Sara Cocchi, Kevin and Erik Sund, and his 5 great grandchildren, Drake, Andre, Julius, Aniyah and Asa Sund. A Memorial for Norman will be announced at a later date, He is to be interred with his loving wife, at Forks of the Brandywine Cemetery in Glenmoore, PA. Arrangements by DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. of West Chester, PA 610-696-1181; www.DellaFH.com.
