Nora C. Miley

Nora C. Miley, 98 of West Chester, PA passed away Saturday July 20, 2024 at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.

She was the wife of the late William F. Miley, Sr.  Nora and Bill were married in 1948. 

Born December 31, 1925 in Bryn Mawr, PA she was the daughter of the late Patrick Carr and the late Julia McFadden Carr.

Nora grew up in Bryn Mawr, PA and graduated from Haverford High School where Nora was a member of the basketball team, and sorority.  Nora was one of seven children.

She worked as a Homemaker, raising seven children, and later worked for National Liberty Life Insurance Company, where she retired.

Nora has been a member of St Agnes Church since 1950.  She participated in School activities when her children attended St Agnes and sang in the Church Choir for many years.  She enjoyed gardening at her home and was a member of the Garden Club.  Since 2021, Nora lived at the Hickman Assisted Living Community in West Chester.

Nora is predeceased by her husband Bill Miley and daughter Barbara (Miley) Copes.  She is survived by daughters Lynn Haley (Henry), Denise Davis (Bob), Nora Keleher, Jeanne Grimson (Jim), and sons William F. Miley Jr, James Miley (Lisa).

Nora has 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 9:00 am - 9:45 am at St. Agnes Church 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380 followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 am. 

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Nora’s name to the Hickman, an organization that held a special place in her heart.
