Noel Patrick Hedgecock

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Noel Patrick Hedgecock age 50 who left us on August 23, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. Noel battled cancer with courage and resilience, lived and loved fully, and brought laughter wherever he went.

Noel is survived by his wife Megann (nee Polaha) and his four children Patrick, Annie, Zoey, and Emma; his brother Dan (Nicole); in-laws Valerie and Stephen Polaha; brothers- in-law Andrew and Matthew (Caitlin) Polaha; nieces, Kaleigh and Elizabeth and nephews, Hunter, Henry, and Jack; stepbrothers JP and Andrew (Keri) Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora White and Daniel Hedgecock and stepmother, Lois Hedgecock. He was loved by countless cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Noel was born January 4th, 1976, in Huntington, New York and graduated as valedictorian from Bradford Christian High School in Bradford, PA in 1994. He then went on to his beloved Lehigh University where he was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He served in several key leadership positions, organized countless golf trips, and created life-long friendships.

It was at Lehigh that he met the love of his life, his wife of 24 years, Megann. Noel graduated in 1998 with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and went on to work in the consulting and sales business for over 25 years. Noel found joy and fulfilment in his work, with meaningful impact across numerous companies and clients. His passion to support the success of people’s dreams led him to start his own consulting firm in his last year.

Noel was a dedicated and beloved father and husband. His children brought him immense joy and pride. He loved cheering them on at swimming and gymnastic meets, in their musical and dramatic performances; he championed them at every step of their lives. He shared his love of skiing, music, cooking, and travel with family. He was an exceptional planner taking his family on adventures through the US and Europe, including the Paris Olympics. He was fond of a full calendar packed with all kinds of activities but was happiest when those plans involved his college sweetheart and his children.

Noel was passionate and, some may say, opinionated at times and he had so many things he cared for fiercely. He was a life-long Giants fan, and they were his favorite team, but he truly enjoyed watching any great game. He deeply appreciated live music and took every opportunity to sing along with a favorite band. He loved the outdoors, biking, hiking, kayaking, triathlons, beach volleyball, and, most recently, gardening. He cherished his home and community of West Chester, the ringleader of so many events and memories from Deanstockapaloozafest to Porchfest.

Noel will be remembered most for his larger-than-life presence, his infectious sense of humor, his wit and his generosity. A born salesman, he had the ability to walk into a room full of strangers and get them talking and laughing about everything from sports to music to craft beer or bourbons. His energy to live life to the fullest was something most of us could not keep up with and even as he courageously fought the last few years, that energy was present.

During his three-year battle Noel befriended and charmed doctors, nurses and all those amazing health care workers he got to know. The family will be forever grateful for his team at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. In the last few months, Noel enjoyed early morning sunsets working on his green thumb, searching for the next great band, and catching up with friends.
