Michael P. Ivey

Michael "Mike" Ivey, a cherished father, master auto mechanic, and pillar of his community, passed away at the age of 62 on December 1, 2025, in Cheyney, Pennsylvania. Born on March 26, 1963, in Downingtown, PA, Mike's zest for life and indomitable spirit touched all who knew him.

Mike's legacy began in the town of his birth, Downingtown, where he cultivated a passion for mechanics and the open road. His hands, skilled and sure, could breathe life into the most stubborn of engines, a talent that would define his career and his contributions to the community. For 35 years, Mike was the proud owner of Mike Ivey's Auto, where he earned a reputation not only as a master mechanic but also as a successful entrepreneur whose business was built on the foundations of trust and excellence

His expertise was matched only by his generosity, as he often went above and beyond to ensure that no one was left stranded. Mike's wisdom and selflessness made him a mentor to many, sharing his knowledge with anyone who sought his help. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the wilds, cherishing time spent hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. His love for cars was not just his livelihood but his passion, and his vast knowledge of history often surfaced in the stories he shared with friends and loved ones.

Mike's Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding his actions and his purpose. He lived his life by a simple yet powerful creed, "If I can't fix it, kill it, or ride it, I ain't got nothing to do with it." Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Goshen Fire Hall 1320 Park Avenue West Chester, pa 19380 followed by his Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.

Interment will be private.
