Maxim Alkon Obituary

Maxim Aaron Israel Alkon, 43 of Bermuda and Wayne, PA died peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Sunday May 23, 2021 at Lankenau Medical Center. 

Maxim was the treasured son of Brian Stephen Alkon and Maxine G. Mathias Alkon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted brother, Shimon Mathias Alkon, beloved girlfriend, Annie Williams, Aunts Judy McPhillips, Juanita Mathias and numerous cousins.

Maxim was a graduate of The Hun School and the University of Hartford. He obtained graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Edinburgh.  Max held licensures as a clinical counselor and professional coach and worked actively in these fields. Max was recognized as an outspoken advocate for mental health, women’s rights and the rights of anyone, bullied or oppressed.

Max was an avid pool aficionado, loved playing chess with his brother, read copiously and enjoyed studying world religions. Max was an inveterate traveler. With his vibrant and caring personality, he forged lasting friendships that spanned countries and continents.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his Graveside Service, 1:00 pm Sunday May 30, 2021 at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores Road, Frazer, PA 19355.
