Mary Short (Johnstone) Wallace

Mary “Mae” Wallace of Malvern, PA passed away on Monday January 4, 2021 at Brandywine Living at Longwood in Kennett Square, PA.

Born January 4, 1929 on Burnside Street in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Stewart) Johnstone and the late Charles Johnstone.

Mary was the 2nd youngest of 18 children and married Angus Wallace on March 18, 1955 in Kilmarnock, Scotland. They were married for 62 years until his death on March 25, 2017

They emigrated from Scotland in November 1959 and spent most of their years in the U.S. on King Road in Malvern, PA.

Mary worked at the Saxone shoe factory in Kilmarnock and spent her working years here in the U.S. working for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Great Valley until retiring in January 1994.

She is survived by her:

Three (3) great-grandchildren

Ryleigh Theresa McNamee
Paige Harper Davies

She was the last of her siblings to pass and leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
